不知道有沒有人跟我有同樣的狀況，晚上想去Cacino, Club或bar，又或者每次去買煙買酒人家都懷疑你未滿十八，沒國際駕照然後又很擔心隨身帶著護照會被偷或搞丟。（護照其實蠻大的，塞不下一般的口袋或皮夾）

大家應該知道在國外護照遺失是一件非常麻煩的事，你可能要花一筆錢申請一個新護照，如果剛好又要去別的國家或申請其他重要證件，等待也是一件很痛苦的事。

這時候澳洲就有個方便的東西Evidence of Age 或稱 Proof or Age（年齡證），是澳洲各州政府發放，證明你年滿18的簡易證件。

如果你怕重要的身份證件（向護照、國際駕照等）遺失，那辦一張Evidence of Age（年齡證）是個好辦法。這張卡如果遺失了，其實不用怕信用卡被刷或者身份被盜用，風險相對小很多。

那如何申請這張Evidence of Age呢？要看你在哪一州，則跟哪一州的MVR(Motor Vehicle Registry) 也就是類似台灣申請駕照的“監理所”申請。因為我人在Northen Territory（北領地），那我就以NT的版本來介紹，其他州大同小異囉！

首先，先參考政府提供的資料“How to obtain an Evidence of Age (18 plus) Card”

裡面詳細的介紹為何需要、如何申請、需備證件等等～但我簡單地以我們台灣背包客可用的方法來解釋吧！

主要有分A、Ｂ類型，A類一定要符合一項，然後B至少也要一項，再來是額外確認你居住在本州的相關證明資料。

我們“可以”提供，也比較好準備的證件大概就是

Ａ類
Overseas passport （護照）

Financial Institution Card with signature and embossed name （有帶有本人鋼印的英文姓名與親筆簽名的金融卡或信用卡）

Overseas Photographic Driver Licence (in English or with official translation) （有個人照片的國際駕照）

額外證明

Contract of purchase, current lease or rental document, receipt from an accommodation house or caravan park etc identifying the applicant and the residential address （目前居住地的租約或旅社的付錢收據等等，主要要有你的全名與居住地址）

Financial Institution document identifying the applicant and the residential address (任何銀行文件，如開戶文件等，擁有你的居住地址)

Utility or Services Account (Gas, Electricity, Water, Landline Telephone [not mobile], Austar, Broadband, Internet etc.) identifying the applicant and the residential address （如有辦網卡的朋友，當初申請的文件上有地址的話也可適用）

Australian Taxation Office Assessment showing current residential address (not postal) Please block out any reference to your Tax File Number （有辦退稅的朋友，稅退下來後政府會寄給你一份”Notice of assessment”，那份上面有你的地址即可用，記得把TFN稅號遮掉）

我當時準備了四項文件：（基本上三項就可以了，第四項只是以防萬一）

passport （護照）類型Ａ

inancial Institution Card with signature and embossed name （金融卡）類型Ｂ

Australian Taxation Office Assessment showing current residential address (not postal) Please block out any reference to your Tax File Number （稅單）額外證明

Contract of purchase, current lease or rental document, receipt from an accommodation house or caravan park etc identifying the applicant and the residential address （居住地的租約或旅社的付錢收據）額外證明

文件準備好就直接到當地的MVR(Motor Vehicle Registry) （或偏遠地居則是警察局，請自行上網查詢），跟他們說你要申請Evidence of Age即可。

申請的過程很簡單，文件給他，他會幫你看符不符合條件，然後填好一份申請表，繳交$28元的申請費，當場他就會幫你拍一張照片（所以記得先畫好妝再去這樣），直接2分鐘就印出來給你了！（神速！）

出來大概就是差不多像下面這張圖的樣子了～小小一張卡放皮夾，跑趴就安心了（？！
